Today I attended Bizfest 2015 hosted by the Carlow , Tipperary & Kilkenny County Councils – Local Enterprise Offices in association Bank of Ireland , Netwatch , Connect Ireland & Carlow Chamber which was held in the Woodford Dolmen Hotel , Kilkenny Road , Carlow.
Bizfest was born out of the desire to connect business people together to assist in developing a business. It is a business networking event featuring a panel of unique business people who have experience on the local, national and international stage. Bizfest has 3 elements, the first element is the exhibition area which introduces you to products and services which may benefit your business, the second is the panel event which gives you the opportunity to hear from the industry experts about how to energize your business. The third is networking over lunch.
I arrived at the hotel around 11.45 am and registered the room was hoping ,there was over 30 exhibition stands and lots of people engaging and an networking already. Over 300 business entrepreneurs form across Ireland where in attendance. There was a great buzz in the air. At 12.30 the panel event got under way. Richard Curran of Dragons Den was the host and firstly he outlined the achievements, challenges and opportunities of the companies assembled on the panel . The panel consists of some great entrepreneurs Michael Dawson – Founder of the Gift Voucher Shop / One for All , Mags Kirwan of Goatsbridge Trout Farm, Conor Mulhall of the Little Milk Company, Linda Nolan MD of Mybio winner of the National Enterprise Awards 2015. , Terry Clune of Taxback.com and David Walsh of Netwatch. Some inspirational words and stories from an open and honest panel. Fantastic to see how some of the panel where now on the international stage.
On then to a beautiful meal were more networking was done. It was lovely to meet up with old friends and to make new connections. Bizfest 2015 didn’t fail to deliver , well done to all involved on another great event. I look forward to next year. I drove home to Waterford feeling motivated, inspired and on a little bit of a high :))
