Hi I’m Joyce O’Carroll. My business story began as a very personal one – I wear wigs myself due to alopecia. With over 30 years, experience in the Hair Replacement Industry, I bring both professional expertise and a lived understanding to my work. Trained as a hairdresser, I now specialise in hair loss and the art of fitting, cutting and styling wigs.
Central to everything I do is the promise of a confidential, bespoke service that respects each person’s individual needs. I cater for all types of hair loss, hair texture and colours, recreating your natural look while helping to restore confidence.
During my training, I experienced hair loss myself- a difficult time that shaped my commitment to supporting others. Today, I guide and support clients every step of the way, addressing any questions or concerns with sensitivity and care.

Wigworld is Irelands first purpose built wig studio. We are a national, multi award winning wig boutique. We specialise in wigs and hair pieces for people with medical related hair loss due to Chemotherapy, Radiotherapy, Alopecia, Trichotillomania and Thinning Hair.
 We offer a superior quality bespoke human hair wigs, synthetic wigs, mixed hair wigs, custom made wigs and hair pieces that can be integrated into thinning hair. We have women at every stage of life, from young children to my oldest client of 94 years young. Each wig is custom cut and styled to the individuals needs.
We also stock beautiful stylish headwear, turbans and quality aftercare products. We offer a full service of wig fitting, personalised cutting and styling of your wig or hair piece, wig washing and styling, advice and aftercare to ensure that you are looked after throughout the entire hair loss process.
Chemotherapy can cause hair loss. People sometimes choose to cut their hair or shave completely when this begins. We can provide this service; all this takes place in our private studio ensuring complete confidentiality.

Joyce has her own hair loss experience of alopecia and wears a wig. She is a Hairdresser by profession and is a Certified Wig Technician. Joyce has also completed QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support. Her skills combined, put her in a position to offer a discreet and unique personalised professional service for each client.
