I was diagnosed with cancer and chemotherapy was part of my treatment by which I was going to lose my hair (my crowning glory) and I was devastated, Joyce was recommended to me and I was ever so glad that she was as she made my journey more bearable.
From the first day I met Joyce I was put at ease her understanding and empathy to me in theses difficult situation such as mine is priceless and could only come from someone very special. Joyce cut my hair when my treatment started so I didn’t get a shock when my hair started falling out.
When it came time to choose my wig it was done together with Joyce and we choose a lovely wig which was very similar to my own natural hair. This was done with such time and care, that nobody but my family even knew I was wearing a wig.
When my treatment finished and my hair eventually started to grow back
Joyce was there again and trimmed and styled the new growth until it
was healthy and strong again. This is a wonderful service that we have in Waterford run by a very special and caring person.

Losing my hair through Chemotherapy was the hardest thing for me. I was absolutely devastated. I went to Joyce and I can honestly say she got me through it . She advised me and put a plan in place to suit what I wanted and that put me at ease. I got a beautiful human hair wig like my own hair. Joyce is a hairdresser and this makes her service even my specialized. When my hair started to fall out she cut it off for me in her private studio. The dignity and respect she showed that day made it so much easier on me. Joyce slightly personalized my new wig and no one noticed it was a wig. When I wanted it washed I just dropped it back to Joyce to do it for me. I can’t thank Joyce enough she is the kindest, most caring person I know. Her expertise and professionalism is out on its own.

I have experienced male pattern baldness which became very noticeable in recent months. I visit to my consultant simply confirmed that there is no cure and a hair transplant was a consideration. After being diagnosed with breast cancer my world fell apart and I was in shock and terrified. I am a young women and loved getting my hair done so this was a huge issue for me. I approached Joyce at Wigworld and from the moment I met her I knew I was in safe hands. We went through many options and colours but I decided to stick to my own colour and length. She ordered me a fab wig, gave me lots of advice and maintenance of my hairpiece. I also got some alternative accessories for days that I would not be wearing my wig. I was diagnosed with Lupus and as a result lost a lot of hair. I was devastated. A workmate told about Joyce at Wigworld, so I made an appointment to see her.
